Platforms we service

Living room, desktop, and handheld.

FixLabs handles the major console families plus handheld gaming PCs and SteamOS systems. Parts availability, prior repair attempts, paired components, and model age can affect the practical repair path.

PlayStation

PS5, PS4, and PS3 repair.

We identify the exact model and revision before quoting model-dependent work.

Video and ports

HDMI and no signal

Damaged connectors, intermittent picture, USB faults, physical damage, and related board diagnosis.

Power and cooling

Shutdowns and overheating

No power, fan faults, loud operation, cleaning, thermal service, and liquid-metal-area inspection where relevant.

Storage and drives

Startup and disc faults

Safe-mode loops, storage, updates, disc intake, read, eject, and controller-sync issues across PS5, PS4, and PS3.

Xbox

Series X|S and Xbox One repair.

Current Series consoles use custom NVMe storage and tightly integrated hardware. Older Xbox One systems remain serviceable for many common faults.

Video and ports

HDMI and USB faults

No picture, damaged connectors, display-output problems, and board-level port repair across Series X|S and Xbox One.

Power and cooling

No power and overheating

Shutdowns, power-path faults, fan noise, heat problems, cleaning, and thermal service.

Storage and drives

Startup and disc faults

Internal storage diagnosis, system restoration, disc-drive faults, and update problems where a viable repair path exists.

Yes, Series X internal storage can be serviced

The Xbox Series X uses a custom internal NVMe SSD, not a mechanical hard drive. FixLabs can evaluate and replace failed internal storage when a compatible replacement and viable console-specific repair path exist. It is not a simple off-the-shelf drive swap, and existing data recovery is not guaranteed. Storage condition, system partitions, hardware compatibility, and prior damage determine the available options.

Nintendo

Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite.

Portable construction makes Nintendo Switch systems vulnerable to charging-port damage, impact, liquid, control wear, heat, and connector failures.

Power and dock

USB-C and charging

Damaged charging ports, no-power faults, charging behavior, dock video output, and related board components.

Display and control

Screens, rails, and sticks

LCD and OLED display faults, touch, Joy-Con rails, buttons, analog-stick drift, and control-board problems.

Storage and cooling

Cards, fans, and heat

Game-card readers, microSD faults, fan replacement, overheating, liquid damage, speakers, and board repair.

Steam Deck and handheld PCs

Portable gaming is still PC repair.

Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, Legion Go 2, MSI Claw, AYANEO, and similar handhelds combine laptop-like power, storage, charging, cooling, controls, and displays in a compact enclosure.

  • USB-C charging and dock/display faults
  • Battery, screen, touch, button, and analog-stick service
  • Fan, heat, noise, and thermal problems
  • Internal SSD replacement and upgrades when supported
  • SteamOS, Windows, drivers, firmware, and startup issues
  • Board-level evaluation and liquid-damage inspection

Updates and known issues

Software changes can look like hardware failure.

Display, charging, dock, wireless, controller, and performance symptoms can begin after firmware, SteamOS, Windows, or platform updates. FixLabs tracks official release notes and explains what owners can safely test before requesting hardware repair.

Check the current repair notes first

Our gaming repair news separates update-related symptoms from physical port damage, battery faults, overheating, storage failure, and board problems.
