We will never require a passcode unless it is necessary to diagnose, test, or complete approved work. When access is needed, we explain why.
About FixLabs
Repair clearly.
Build carefully.
FixLabs is a mail-in technology service for people who want straight answers, careful bench work, and useful updates—from a damaged phone or game console to a complete custom PC.
Why FixLabs exists
Technical work should not feel like a black box.
Good service is more than replacing a part. It means connecting the repair or build to what the customer actually needs, documenting the important decisions, and making costs understandable before the work moves forward. FixLabs is designed around that kind of communication.
By technicians, for the people
Built by people who actually live in this stuff.
FixLabs is led by Dave, a hands-on tech with Colorado roots who has spent years around the messy, interesting edges of everyday technology: broken devices, stubborn PCs, game systems, custom builds, software problems, data scares, and the kind of weird failures that make most people say, "I do not even know where to start."
This shop is for regular people, built by nerds, gamers, troubleshooters, builders, modders, security-minded tinkerers, and lifelong computer people. We are Colorado-born, but the culture comes from every corner of tech: the people building rigs, tuning streams, modding setups, protecting data, recovering files, repairing consoles, and pushing hardware past the boring default.
We prefer open-source thinking, repairable systems, practical privacy, and customers who stay in control of their own data. Power to the people is not just a slogan here. It means clear explanations, honest options, no mystery fees, and a little gamer-brain obsession with getting the details right.
What we learned the hard way
We have seen the repair industry from the inside.
Experience around big-box retail tech work, including Walmart environments, and mall phone repair shops showed us the parts of this industry customers should not have to tolerate: rushed intake, vague explanations, careless data handling, pressure to approve work, and repairs treated like a transaction instead of a responsibility.
FixLabs is built against those habits. Your device is not a curiosity box. Your data is not shop entertainment. Your passcode is not something we ask for just because it is convenient.
We avoid opening personal files, photos, messages, or accounts unless the service specifically requires it and you have approved that access.
Customers should know what is being done, what it may cost, and what happens next before paid work moves forward.
Fast is good. Sloppy is not. We would rather document, test, and communicate clearly than pretend every problem is a five-minute fix.
