FixLabs electronics repair bench prepared for diagnostics

The repair path

Six clear stages.

The exact diagnosis varies by device, but the decisions do not. You always know what FixLabs needs, what you are approving, and what happens next.

  1. 01

    Request review

Send the exact model, symptoms, visible damage, priorities, and previous repair history. Photos help with ports, impact, liquid, and earlier board work.

  2. 02

    RMA and safe packing

Do not ship before acceptance. If the request fits intake, FixLabs provides the repair number, current mail-in address, and packing guidance.

  3. 03

    Inspection and diagnosis

The device is checked for the reported fault and related damage. The depth of inspection depends on the service and condition received.

  4. 04

    Estimate and approval

You review the recommended work, parts, labor, and total. Paid repair work does not proceed without the required approval.

  5. 05

    Repair and testing

Approved work is completed and tested against the original symptoms plus the functions affected by the repair.

  6. 06

    Tracked return

Status updates and return-shipping details stay connected to your RMA so you can follow the repair through delivery.

Before sending a device

Protect the hardware and your data.

Good preparation reduces shipping damage and helps the first inspection answer the right question.

Pack only after receiving an RMA

  • Power the device off completely.
  • Use a sturdy outer box and cushioning on every side.
  • Fill empty space so the device cannot move.
  • Send accessories only when they relate to the fault.
  • Keep the carrier receipt and tracking number.

Back up and protect access

  • Back up important data whenever the device still allows it.
  • Remove SIM and removable storage unless requested.
  • FixLabs asks for a passcode only when diagnosis or testing requires access.
  • Never send account passwords by ordinary email.
  • Tell us when data preservation is the priority.

Estimates and checkout

No mystery authorization.

Inspection can uncover damage that was not visible at intake. When scope or cost changes, FixLabs explains it before additional paid work proceeds.

Your estimate

The estimate connects the diagnosis to recommended parts and labor. Approval authorizes only the work described, except any clearly disclosed preauthorized diagnostic amount.

Your payment

Payment is completed through secure Stripe Checkout. Eligible transactions may show pay-over-time choices controlled by the payment provider.
