Apple repair
Apple Repair Assistant supports post-repair calibration on more devices.
Apple's current guidance lists supported iPhone and iPad parts that can finish calibration through Repair Assistant.
What this means for repair
A replaced part may still need the latest operating system, an internet connection, and at least 20 percent battery before the repair can be finished. A calibration message does not by itself prove the replacement part is defective.
Charge management can temporarily change displayed battery capacity.
Apple explains that devices left connected to power for extended periods may temporarily reduce maximum charging capacity to protect battery health.
What this means for repair
A changed battery percentage after long periods on a charger may be software-managed behavior. Swelling, rapid shutdowns, unusual heat, or a battery that will not accept charge still needs physical inspection.
Google says the updated setup flow can move passwords, photos, messages, apps, contacts, home-screen details, and eSIM information wirelessly.
What this means for repair
Migration is not a backup of a failing device. If a phone has liquid exposure, intermittent power, a damaged charge port, or storage errors, preserve the original data before repeated resets or transfers.

The public account described an unresponsive screen plus an iPad that was already boot-looping while plugged in and would not power on unplugged before intake. A screen service attempt does not establish when the charging or power symptoms began.
