Common phone repairs

More than a screen swap.

The symptom is the starting point, not the diagnosis. FixLabs checks the surrounding hardware so a damaged connector, liquid exposure, bent frame, or power fault does not get hidden behind a quick part replacement.

Display

Screens and touch

Cracked glass, black screens, touch failure, display lines, flicker, brightness problems, and frame damage.

Power

Batteries and charging

Fast battery drain, unexpected shutdowns, swollen batteries, USB-C or Lightning port faults, and wireless charging issues.

Hardware

Cameras and audio

Camera modules, focus faults, microphones, speakers, earpieces, buttons, vibration motors, and damaged flex cables.

Environment

Liquid damage

Careful inspection, corrosion assessment, cleaning, board diagnosis, and an honest repairability discussion.

Software

Startup and update faults

Boot loops, failed updates, storage pressure, transfer trouble, and account-neutral software troubleshooting.

Board level

Microsoldering

Ports, connectors, filters, charging circuits, trace repair, and deeper no-power or no-data faults when practical.

Privacy by default

A passcode is not an intake requirement.

Many physical repairs can begin without access to personal content. When unlocked testing is necessary to confirm cameras, microphones, cellular service, sensors, or another approved function, we explain the reason and use the minimum access needed.

  • Remove sensitive apps or use a repair mode when your device supports one.
  • Back up important data before shipping whenever the phone remains usable.
  • Never include account passwords in a package.
  • Remote wipe can prevent final testing, so coordinate with us before using it.

Before mailing

Protect the phone and the repair.

Power the phone down, remove cases and unrelated accessories, document its condition, and cushion every side of the device. Do not mail a swollen or actively damaged lithium battery without speaking to us first.

Important battery warning

A swollen, smoking, punctured, leaking, or unusually hot battery requires special handling and may not be accepted through normal mail. Stop charging it and contact FixLabs before packing.
